Decent work and gender equality
One of ACPA's main priorities is to create decent working conditions and ensure gender equality in cotton farming. The aim is to support the activities of both women and men in agriculture with equal opportunities.
Decent working conditions and gender initiatives in cotton
Decent working conditions plays an important role in ensuring social justice and worker welfare in cotton farming. Promotion of safe and healthy working conditions for farmers and workers, determination of wages based on fair and transparent principles are the main goals. Protecting the rights of seasonal workers and increasing their social support opportunities are also included in ACPA's activities.
Gender equality initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of women in agriculture. Involving women in leadership roles in cotton farms, expanding their access to training and financial opportunities are important steps taken in this direction. Also, educational measures are implemented to prevent gender-based discrimination.
Azerbaijan has great potential is wide in this field. Although these initiatives are not yet fully implemented in some areas, ACPA supports and plans to implement them widely. This approach makes an important contribution to both the social and economic development of agriculture, while at the same time serving to strengthen equity and sustainability in rural areas.
